The purpose of SBC-CDS is to bolster interest in Dressage. Dressage as an equitation term means the gradual harmonious development of a horse’s physical and mental condition with the aim of improving its natural gaits and developing a perfect understanding with its rider. The Chapter’s program is educational, and is designed primarily to offer a framework in which individuals can progress with the schooling of themselves and their horses. Activities such as riding clinics, dressage shows and education are directed toward a better general understanding of Dressage.

We hope you’ll join us for the lovely Santa Barbara Kennel Club Show this year (August 24 and 25, 2024). This year is the 13th Breeders’ Showcase. Just click on Breeder’s Showcase above to see the information for entering that competition. The Foreign Bred Competition will be on Thursday, the Bullygangza and Sighthound Spectacular on Sunday. Santa Barbara at the end of August is the place to be with cooling ocean breezes and wonderful dogs – what better way to spend a weekend. We’ll see you there.
